About The Art: February 7 is Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. “OUR,” the third panel of the triptych MY, THEIR, OUR, reflects a transformation from isolation toward collective care in response to HIV/AIDS within underresourced communities. By inviting a communal rather than individual understanding of status, the work suggests that shared care can lead to healing for all. Commissioned by Interfaith America for its permanent collection, Chicago, IL.
