Faithful Futures just showed up as the #1 new release in both Sociology of Religion and Youth Ministry on Amazon.

That feels especially meaningful because, as an applied sociologist, I’ve often lived between two worlds. Inside the university, I sometimes felt like religion wasn’t taken seriously enough as a force shaping people’s lives. Outside of it, in ministry and faith spaces, research can be dismissed as something cold or disconnected from real life.

So seeing this book land in both categories feels like a quiet affirmation that bridging those worlds matters. I’ve always believed that good research, framed and understood in the right way, can change how we live and how we love. Especially for the rising generations who are asking new and important questions about faith.

And I certainly believe that religion is an animating and driving force in people's lives that needs to be taken seriously and attended to if we want to have any chance of understanding the world accurately.
