🎓 Womanist/Black Feminist Scholar in Practical Theology, Theology, or Ethics — This faculty position is for a scholar ready to bring their research, teaching, perspective, and voice into the seminary community. The successful candidate will teach four courses each year, contributing to a learning environment that values diverse perspectives, critical scholarship, thoughtful conversation, and engagement with the world. 👂🏽📖💭 The position begins July 1, 2027, with application review beginning October 1, 2026. Assistant Professor salaries start at $65,464, with rank and salary determined by experience.

The heart of the role is helping build the project’s Belonging Hub—an online home for tools, training, and learning pathways that equip congregations to take meaningful next steps. 🌱💻 You’ll help write and shape resources around disability, mental health, theology of belonging, congregational life, and Christian practice, translating what’s being learned into tools churches can actually use. 📚✨ There’s a lot of listening built into that work: learning from partners and communities, noticing what congregations need, and turning those insights into resources that help more people participate and flourish. 👂🏽🤝⛪
